Rain, Rain Go Away

This has been a rainy day today. I started my day getting Jason ready for school. For you that don't know Jason, he is Daynon's 10 year old god son but we have take him over as our "grandson". He lives with his real grandmother while his Mom is in Germany but we keep him some days during the week and mostly every weekend. Poor thing he has a cold and has had a bad cough.

Well after I took him to school and took my car to Dominion Cheverolet because my speedometer went hay wire. I was doing 110 miles per hour at one time....LOL. Also, my transmission has been doing a funny jerky thing when you take off. We have a 2005 Chevrolet Impala and we got the extended warranty on the car when we purchased it. Initially, they said they couldn't find anything wrong but then called back to say they were pulling the transmission down and would keep it over the weekend. They gave us a rental car, a 2009 Chev Impala. It had a jack for your IPOD. I immedately hooked mine up. I would trade my car in today if I had a paycheck coming in just for that feature....just kidding. I can't wait to finish paying for the one I got. I usually keep cars 10-12 years so IPODS will be antiques when I purchase another car. Who knows what the "it" MP3 device will be then.

Went to Ollie's Outlet in the West End. Was real disappointed. They have a lot of housewares, Christmas, toy, etc. Thought they would have good bargains there. There wasn't anything there that jumped out at me. But you can check it our for yourself, it is at the intersection of Ridgefield Parkway and Lauderdale.

The rain alone makes things sad but today was the wake for my cousin Timmy. There was a lot of neighborhood kids we all grew up with there. It was a reunion of sorts. My cousin Thomas who we all knew as "Baby Cake" lives in Colorado just happened to be in Northern VA for his job this week, so he was there tonight. It was so good to see him. It is unfortunate it was such a sad occassion to bring old friends and family together. I viewed the body but I think it still has not registered that Tim is gone. There was a lot of people there that loved him. It represents the kind of person you are in life when persons come out to pay there respects when you gone.

Tomorrow is the funeral. Please keep Timmy's parents, siblings, wife, kids and grandkids in your prayers.
