Let's start from the beginning. Today was Friday, so I went to my exercise class. I rode with Pat today. St. Peter's was having a dinner tonight, so we couldn't exercise in the old sanctuary, so we exercised in the choir room. Because of a lack of space, we couldn't do all our normal exercises, so we didn't work out too hard today. Pat brought me home and we sat and talked in the car for awhile. I told her about the Bon Secours Day of Dance at the Fairgrounds tomorrow but am not sure if she is going to go our not. Went in the house and started on my Saturday cleaning b/c I am hitting the streets Saturday.
While I was cleaning, Daddy called. Daynon gave him some new door handles for his Mustang for Christmas and he was having a hard time putting them on, so he took them to a repair shop he uses in town. Well, there was a piece in the panel that needed to be replaced,so Daddy wanted Steve and I come pick him up and take him to the Mustang store in Ashland. So we dropped what we were doing and went to pick him up. They had the part he wanted, so we took him back to the repair shop and dropped him off. Steve and I left because we had to go and pick Jason up from school and we had to make a couple of stops first.
Dad said he wanted to go to Golden Corral later. We did our errands and then picked Jason up and then came home. We came home and hung out for a little bit and then Dad called when he got home and said he was ready to go to eat because he was starving. We first went to the credit union to pay my car note and then we picked Daddy up, stopped at the Post Office to mail some other bills and then headed to Golden Corral. Saw plenty of folks we knew there, including Rev. Lee our Minister of Music at Mt. Olive and his family. Now, getting to my blog title. Who invented buffets? First of all, I am a meat and potato person. Not into a lot of vegatables and side dishes like macaroni and cheese. So buffets don't excite me for those reasons. I do like my fried foods and tonight was Seafood night. And they had those wonderful hush puppies that I love. So needless to say, not only did I blow my diet for the day, but probably for the whole week. I was weak and lost all discipline. I did skip the dessert.
After we left Golden Corral, we went by the new movie theatre, MovieLand. They are having a sweepstakes for a free movie pass for two for a year. I dropped a form off for me and the kids. Hopefully, one of us will win. The new theatre was packed. It is definitely different.
To take away the guilt of what I did, I walked when I got to Dad's back and forth for a little while. I am sure I burned every bit of 50 calories of the 1000 I probably ate. Ya'll pray for me that I have more discipline or I will never meet my goal of 199 pounds. Anyway, after walking until I was feeling nauscious, we went in and all feel asleep except Jason, he was playing games on the IPOD and then watched TV for a little while and then came home. I had to get my Avon order together and then I made Jason a cola slurpee with the ice cream maker. Sent him in to take his bath and then I started writing my blog as he looked over my shoulder as usual with his noisy self. Jason, Marci and I are riding together to the Day of Dance tomorrow. They are also having a Children's Expo tomorrow. I am sure I will be worn out by the end of the day.
