Yard sale Saturday!

Finally our yard sale day came. I am sure my Dad was glad of that because we had his poor tool shed loaded down with stuff. We woke about 6am and Steve went outside and loaded the pick up truck with the bikes and other big things we did not take over Daddy's. I mad my bed and did a few things in the house and then woke Jason up and made his bed. We left home about 6:55. Jason and I were in the car, so we put some signs up for the yard sale. When we got to Dad's, Jason stayed in the car and said he was going back to sleep, that figures. We started setting up the tables. The yard sale was to start at 8 but people were stopping time we started setting up. Aunt Janice, Uncle Allen and Aunt Yvonne came and set out some things they wanted to sell also. Also, a lady who lives in Daddy's neighborhood, I forgot her name, came with her husband and grand kids and they set up a couple of tables. Daynon also came with some mirrors and clothes he wanted to sell. The weather looked a little scary one time. It looked like it might rain, but it didn't. It was hot in the sun but nice in the shade. Let me just say, we have had plenty of yard sales but we have never had the traffic like we had at this one. Man I couldn't sit down for a hot minute before there were potential customers. This yard sale was like work. Our yard sales in the past were more of a social event. We usually sat and talked and enjoyed the breeze, but not today. We did have a lot of buyers. Steve sold a couple of bikes he had and a vaccum, so we don't have them in the tool shed in the way any more. Daddy sold a lawn mower. Uncle Doc, Aunt Mary stopped by and so did Anthony. I sold all my lemon pound cake slices I made for the bake sale. We had a food run to KFC and we all ate, because some of us missed breakfast. Aunt Yvonne left around 2 and Janice and Allen hung in with us til the end around 4. One of our customers collects clothes for the needy and gave us her number, so when we finished I made piles. One for the needy, one to take back home and one for the Goodwill. Aunt Janice and Aunt Yvonne also left things for the needy. After we put everything away, Steve took our stuff home, we left three big bags of clothes on the porch for the lady and Jason and I went to the Goodwill truck on Brook Road. We stopped and got Slurpees, gas and went home and passed out. I was so tired, I could not walk hardly. We showered around 6 and then went to Chik-Fil-A to eat. That's right, more chicken. Can't get enough chicken. We stopped by Dad's because I had put some things in my car that was his. We only stayed about thirty minutes and then we came home. Jason went in his room , I went in my bedroom and got in my pj's and watched TV and Steve was in the den. I took two Aleves before I laid down so I would not be aching in the morning. Started doing my blog but was too tired to finish. Jason fell asleep about 11 and I cut the TV off soon after. Thought I would have fallen asleep before then, but I was just too achy to get to sleep.
