God is Good!
I woke up at 6:30 today. Didn't go to exercise class today. Had to go with Daddy to St. Mary's to get his routine colonoscopy. For those that don't know, Dad has had colon surgery twice before. Once in 1997 and again in 2004. So I was a little nervous but I knew God was in control. Dad picked me up about 7:45 and we headed to the hospital. His procedure was at 8:30. We got there about fifteen minutes early. We went to registration and then they sent us back to Endoscopy. He only sat a few minutes and they took him back. I got to talking to a young lady who was there with her Mom from Petersburg, a older lady who was there with her husband and there was a lady with two little kids. That made the time go by. Also, they had free Wi Fi so I was on my IPOD between conversations. They had a nice refreshment area set up for you in the waiting room and they had that new coffee machine by Krueg I think the name is. It has the little pods you put in the machine with tea, coffee or hot chocolate. Somehow I became the teacher of a few people to show them how to use the machine. One little old man was standing there just staring at it. He had no idea what to do with it. Around 9:30 Dr. McGroarty came out. I had been praying for days and I claimed it in Jesus name that the results would be good. And thank you God...they were. The Dr. said there was NO cancer. I called Steve and the kids and gave them the good news. There was one polyp and he said he did not feel daddy needed to come back for any more colonoscopies. He said it takes the cancer about ten years to develop. I think he still should get one later down the rode to be on the safe side but we will see. Sometimes after a patient gets a certain age, they feel they won't be around much longer, but Daddy could possible live to 100. So sometimes you just have to use common sense with your own health. Anyway, they came out with Dad about ten and he was starving and ready to go to MacLeans for breakfast. We called Steve and he came to meet us. I took Dad home and Steve came by later after breakfast. We hung around until one with Dad and he was ready to take a nap so we left him to be in peace. Went to the bank, Steve had went to the post office before he came to Dad's. Stopped at 7-11 and picked up some stamps for Steve's statements. Came home and worked on my computer downloading pictures. We watched a little TV and napped a whole lot. Gonna miss those naps once I work. Left home about 4:30 and went to the Post Office to mail the statements and went to Little Caesars and picked up our weekly pizza. Watched the Young and the Restless. Steve went over to our neighbor Herb's house and I piddled around the house. Went to Dad's and watched Big Brother (On Demand) and Who Wants A Millionaire and then came home. Watched Wipe Out and then got on the computer. Going to bed in a little bit. Have to pick Freda up tomorrow at seven for a procedure she has t have tomorrow at 7:30. Pray for her. God is a miracle worker. He has been so good. I finally got my job and my dad got a good report. God is good all the time and all the time God is good. Good night.
