My corn is loving the rain

What a rainy day. This would have been a good day to lay in bed and watch good movies, but I got up and went to exercise class. Class was very thin today. I think a lot of people was enticed to stay in bed today. Dee was late getting to class today. I thought she might have stayed in today since it was raining and she has such a long drive to come to class. After class, I came home and Steve and I watched the movie "Twilight". It was one of my NetFlix movies. Weird movie. It destroyed all my youthful ideas of what a vampire is. These vampires went to school. In the day time....LOL.

After the movie, we went to the PO and not to the bank. Nothing at the PO today. We went to meet Daynon at Hawkes for lunch, but to our surprise, Hawkes was gone. There was a notice on the door stating they were forced out of the building because of non payment. They are suppose to be opening a new store at Brook and Parham. I hope this doesn't hinder them opening up. We love the Lake Trout fish there. Daynon was very disappointed when I called him they were closed, so we met at Ukrop's instead.

When we go to Ukrop's, there is a guy there every time we eat lunch. He is always there with a bunch of other business looking guys. Daynon used to work at the American Family at this shopping center and he said the guy was eating there then and that has been about ten years or so. Well today, he was not there. I told Daynon then that was a sign that something was off with the day because he wasn't there. Well little did I know that when Steve and I left, our car ran hot. We had to stop at the auto parts store and buy anti-freeze. There was no fluid in the over flow bucket. Steve put the anti-freeze in and we drove to Dad's. Dad and Steve looked under the hood, they think it might be the radiator. I called Dominion Chevrolet and set up an appointment for Monday. We sat and watched TV over Dad's. It started raining really hard, so we stayed until the rain stopped. It was 5:30 before we left. We came home and eat dinner. I called my friend Betty Reid to see if she had come home from the hospital. She was at home...YEAH! She said she was feeling good except the pain medicine was messing with her stomach. We talked for a few minutes and then I opened the bills and organized them. I watched TV until fell asleep. Don't know what time that was.

Here is a picture of what my corn looked like on Thursday. It is really growing. When they are ready for picking, I should have a corn on the cob party....LOL
