The fever broke

Cabin fever is gone. Got up early today. Jason's school was doing a Christmas production at 8:30 this morning and I got there by 8:00 because parking is no joke at that school. It was a musical production and Jason had a speaking part. He was one of the Zamboni brothers. It was weird to be in a school and not know any of the parents....LOL.

After I left the school, I went shopping for Christmas and picked up a few things. Got my secret pal a......oops can't devulge that, he or she might be reading this. Later Steve and I went to the bank and post office and then we hung out with my Dad a little bit. We watched Gunsmoke and it was one I never remember seeing. Well fifty minutes into the show, TV land had some kind of network trouble and when the came back up, they jumped into a Bonanza show already in progress so we don't know how it ended. Boy were we pissed.

I came home and stuffed stockings that I give to my kids every year. They always love the wonderful gifts they find in their. Take the neck wrap I gave the boys last year, they loved them...not. They are still laughing about that one. I thought they were cute. Wait until they see what will be in there this year.

Went to choir rehearsal. We were told we are singing on Christmas Eve and New Years Eve. And our director told us that he and his wife are expecting. They have two cute girls now but Dad is hoping for a boy.

Steve and Dad played dominioes while I was at rehearsal. Steve beat Dad tonight.

Tomorrow I am going to meet my ex-co workers at Texas Roadhouse for their Christmas luncheon. Might seem crazy going to hang out with them since I got laid off, but they were like a second family to me and I don't have any bad feelings towards the company or anyone there that had the task of giving me my pink slip. It is the sign of the times. The economy has caused chaos for all. And I look at it this way, what God has for me, it is for me. I have had a vacation of sorts until I start my new job. We have had food to eat and bills are getting paid and we still have a roof over our heads. This is the path God wants me to take so I can not complain.

Good night and sleep tight. Don't let the bed bugs bite.
