Last shopping weekend before Christmas

This was the last weekend before Christmas and you could tell by the crowd at the mall. It was a little crazy out there today. Had to pick up a few things while I didn't have Jason with me today. He went with his grandparents to see " The Earth Stood Still" at the IMAX theatre. He said it was good.

Did the usually house cleaning today. Getting the house in holiday mode. My kids always hated when holidays came because all the heard from me is "we are in the mode". That meant they had to keep things neat in cased company came by. Jason is usually not here before Christmas, so he is going to have to learn about being in the mode. Daynon and Stevie will have to pass this down to him and train him in the ways of holiday mode....LOL.

Went to the seamtress today to pick up Daddy and Steve's coats. They bought suit coats that cost $325.00 at Macy's that were on sale for $30.00. We went to a button store a couple of weeks ago and got blazer buttons and had Mrs Washington switch the buttons. Nice looking coats. We then went to visit my cousin Archie since we were over in Northside. He lost his wife in September so this is his first Christmas without her. The first one is always the hardest when you lose someone you love. He was doing OK. The kids had put up his decorations but he said he was really not into the holidays this year. His 10year grandson played Christmas carols for us on the guitar he just got yesterday.

Went to Hawkes and bought a batch of Lake Trout fish and carried it to Dad's. Hung out there until about 8:30. When I got home pulled out our clothes and my jewelry for tomorrow. Steve, Stevie, Jason and myself are going to Dad's church Bethany Baptist. This is a tradition that I do every year at Christmas time and fellowship with Dad at his church. Not sure yet if Daynon's going.

Listening to an old Saturday night live that is on while I am typing. It is a repeat. Tina Fey was on there imitation Sara Palin. Her apperances I hear gave SNL the largest viewship it has had since the 90's.

Well going to bed now. Sure would love to see snow for Christmas.
