Started my day at church. Pastor's sermon came from Mark12: 41-44 and it was about how Jesus set in the women's court of the synagogue watching all the people coming in making their offerings. The rich made put in big sums, I guess that was to impress Jesus. But who impress Jesus most was a poor woman who had nothing but two cents and she gave that. Basically, the sermon was saying that God has given us everything, but when it is time to give back to him, we slight him. If Jesus was watching us, I am sure he would not always be pleased with what we give. Our giving does not always have to be monetary. It can be our time, our love or just a helping hand. God is watching, so we must not short change him.
The church doors are now open.
After church today, I went to Wal-Mart and picked up a few things. Came home and made dinner. Took a short nap before dinner and then I went back to church to sing for the initial sermon of one of our church members Kelly Evans. She did a wonderful job. Her sermon was on waiting on the Lord. She talked about Jonah waiting on the Lord delivering him from the whale, Daniel from the lions den. They waited on the Lord and things worked out for them, so why is it we can't wait. I am going to wait on him to bring that wonderful job that I know he has for me. I want it tomorrow but he knows when it's my time, so I will wait.
Steve, Jr called from DC to tell us he was on MSNBC but I was at church but Jason and Steve saw him. He is video taping his trip. Can't wait to see the footage.
Daynon flew by and picked up Lynette's car that they left here yesterday.
Steve, Jason and I went to Dad's and they played dominoes and I watched TV and crashed on the sofa. Came home and watched Desperate Housewives. It was a good story. It is amazing how one person can touch so many people's lives. It was touching story line.
What happened to the snow today???
