Babysis' house during the Christmas holidays. (He is in the middle). I noticed then that he was a little thin, but I did not know how sick he was then. I know his daughter Kim will miss him dearly and so will his friend Lucille. Please keep the family in your prayers during this time of bereavement.
Today I went to Verizon to be tested for employment down on Grace Street. I felt like I was taking SAT's with all the little circles I had to fill in. The test was spelling , math, comprehension, shapes and all kinds of crazy stuff that took about ninety minutes. After the test, we all had to wait to see if we passed. They called you one by one, if you passed, you came back to the lobby and had a seat, if you failed you hit the street. I figured I failed due to the math part alone (fractions ugh!) But my name was called and I passed that test only to be told that I would have to take another test that would last about ninety minutes. So all of us that passed, took the computer test. And then we waited in the lobby again until you were called. Unfortunately, I did not pass that test and have to wait six months to take it again. Oh well. I did feel good that some of the others that failed were young so it was not because I was a senior...LOL.
Talked briefly to Stevie today by phone and text. Stopped in to see Daynon and give him his mail and then I went home.
Daynon's friend Tank came by with two liver dinners for my Dad and Steve from Joe's Inn. They love their fried livers and they give you a bunch of them. Steve had to give Tank a ride to drop a car off and when he got back, we went to pick up Jason. They were having a carnival at his school today. There was a lot of people there. I told Steve that we really felt out of our element today. Jason was off running here and there with his friends so we sat while he played. I told Steve, when our kids were young, we were always involved with activities at their school and the kids came from our neighborhood, so there was always plenty of people we knew to talk to. We know no one at Jason's school and everyone there seemed to know each other. It was really weird.
After the carnival, we came home to eat and then stopped in at Dad's for about an hour to see what he was talking about. It was raining to beat the dog when we left to come home. Stopped in at CVS to pick up some nasal spray for Steve. Him and I both are stuffy. His Dr. told him to try Afrin. We will see how that works.
By the way, Jason came home with us. He has been playing games on the IPOD and watching TV. Steve is in the den watching TV. I am with my kerchief am writing my blog. Have to get up early in the morning and get Jason to church for a Usher's Workshop at 9:00AM. Good night and stay dry....Love you all!
P.S please keep me in your prayers for a job opportunity.
