For those of you that work...Long weekend...YEAH!

95Every weekend is a long weekend for me. In fact, sometimes I think some days of the week are weekend days. A person could get real use to being out of a job. It is what you always strive for, the days when you don''t work no more. But these days came before I am financially ready, so back to work I must go unless some family member or friend comes into a load of money and feel in their heart they must part with some of it...LOL.

Anyway, on to my day. Exercise class and then back home. Dee came back today. She didn't get there until late so I was thinking she had put us down already. But there was an accident on I95 she said when she got there and traffic was bumper to bumper. I went to Wal-Mart to get flowers for the graves. We go to Rose lawn Cemetary every Memorial Day Monday and put flowers on the graves of our family members. I came home and cleaned my bath room and then took my shower because I was to meet my friends at Henrico Doctors on Parham for lunch. I got there at 11:30. Priscilla got there about 11:40. Since Chris and Betty couldn't eat lunch together with us we ate lunch with Chris and dessert with Betty. We had a good time reminiscing about the old days when we all worked together at the hospital. Priscilla and I went to the HR department after lunch and talked to Nettie the Assistant HR Director. I told her that I applied for a job on line and she told me the position was at Forest Avenue. She called the recruiter at the Forest Campus to pull my resume'. Hopefully, I will get a call next week for an interview. She gave us some HCA T shirts when we left.

I came home, but Steve was at the barber shop. So I took the petunias over Daddy's to put them in the pots. He wasn't at home, he was at Lowe's. I put the flowers in the pot and cleaned up and then Daddy came home. Daddy and I started talking and then he started working on his bench he had been working on. After he finished, Steve finally got there. We were talking and was about to take a ride to Ashland and then Alvin Roane pulled up. He sat and talked for good while. By the time he left it was almost six. We came home and both fell asleep and woke up around seven when Jason called. We were hungry by then, so we went to Stuffy's and got subs. I called Daddy and he said he wanted one also. We took the sandwiches to his house, eat them and watched TV. Before I knew it, Daddy and Steve was asleep. It has been a long day. We left about 9:30 and came home.

Will read some emails and check out some things on line and then I am going to bed.

Good night y'all.
