Ok did you hear about the chaos resulting from the free chicken offer Oprah did. Well they said some KFC's ran out of grill chicken and people got mad. KFC is giving them rain checks with a soda added in on the free deal. Some restaurants refused to honor the coupons and the people had a sit in. I am glad ours was honored and their didn't seem to be any tempers flaring while we were there any way. You just can't get between people and their chicken. Especially if it free.
Well I got up early this morning and watched Survivor on DVR because I did not want to hear you got cast off before I watched it. I decided I would change the sheets on my bed today, so I did that and then got dressed for exercise class.
I do believe the sunshine has a lot to do with your energy because I definitely felt a lot peppier today and exercise class was a breeze. I left ST. Peter's and stopped at my church for a few minutes. We have donations of bread and shoes given to our church and I got a pair of work shoes for my Dad and Steve but they were the wrong sizes so I took them back.
Went home and applied for some jobs on line watched TV. Steve and I left home about noon to go to the Post Office. We were meeting Daynon at 12:30 for lunch today. Talked to Stevie on the way. He and Linda are hosting a Mother's Day Brunch on Sunday and he wants me, his dad and Grandaddy come over at 11 on Sunday. Sunday is also my 36th wedding anniversary, so I am not cooking dinner on Sunday. We either go out to eat or starve...LOL.
We met Daynon at Hawk's and ate Lake Trout fish. We talked about his roles as a soon to be father. I think the reality of it is definitely hitting him. I know he will do fine. I saw one of his friends, Kevin Weaver, today and he said they tease Daynon that he will faint in the Delivery room. I don't think so. It is a miracle of life and I think he wouldn't want to miss a thing.
We left and went to Dad's and Daynon went back to work. Steve and Daddy worked on a chrome trim on the Mustang. Daddy had baked a pound cake and I frosted it for him. It was such beautiful weather, so I was content sitting on the patio listening to my newest rehearsal CD from Rev. Lee and playing scrabble on my IPOD. Checked my voicemail at home and HCA had called about a job at their Forest campus. I called Nettie in HR. I had talked to her a couple of weeks ago to see if they had anything available and she asked me if I would be interested in something at their Forest campus and I told her sure. She said she was going to fax my resume' over to them for an OR scheduler job, which is the same job they had given to me at the Parham road campus and then put a freeze on it...let's hope I don't have the same results. Pray that I get an interview.
Talked to Jason today. He went to see Star Trek last night. Said it was a good movie. Talked to Babysis today and I talked to Freda. She was with the nurse at the time, but she said she was doing fine.
We left Dad's about 4pm and headed home. We watched Ellen and the news and then I remembered around 5 and remembered I didn't mail a Mother's Day card off for Jason and we went to the Post Office to mail it. Hopefully his Grandmother will get it tomorrow. I have been riding it around in the car all week and kept forgetting to get a stamp.
We came home and I took a nap in the recliner. Dad called and wanted to know what we were going to eat today. Usually we get subs from Stuffy's or go to Ukrop's on Fridays. He told me to go and get some steaks and if I cook them he would pay for them. He went back to working on the Mustang after we left and was trying to finish it up, so I agree.
We went to Wal-Mart and got three steaks, an onion and some Pork n Beans. Dad was still out in the yard, so he and Steve worked on the car while I cooked the steaks. They finished just when dinner was done. We ate, and I cleaned the kitchen up. We watched Howie Do It from 8-9pm and then we came home. Talked to Stevie on our way home, he and Linda had been to see Star Trek. He said he loved the movie also.
It took me almost an hour to get on a website I was trying to get on...I hate this computer. I gave up and then watched "How I Met Your Mother" on DVR and then watched the news. David Letterman is on now..I am going to bed soon.
Oh yeah. Here is the before and after of my new project.

Good night...Love you guys!
