When I woke up, the sun was shining bright outside. I thought it was at least 7am but it was only 5:30. I turned over and went back to sleep. When I woke up again, it was 6am, I nodded a lit bit and by 6:45, I had to get up. Steve got up also. I made the bed and did some house cleaning. Check my email. Anthony wrote that he was feeling fine and the Dr's could not find anything wrong with him but they wanted him to take a stress test. I told him he probably just needed some rest.
Steve went outside. Jason was still sleeping....of course. I made breakfast for Steve and I, Jason doesn't eat eggs. I woke Jason up about 8am because he had to go to Usher's Meeting at Church.
We left home around 8:55 am. Unfortunately, when we got to church, no one was there for the meeting. That was because the meeting was at 9:30. Jason was definitely early.
Steve and I went to a yard sale at St. Joseph's Villa. I bought a thermos that was neat. The top was actually two cups screwed together. I may end up selling it at our yard sale in June. We called Daddy to come look at a gas cooker they had for five dollars. Steve ended up buying it.
We went to PO&B and then to Lowe's. By then, Jason's meeting was over. We went by Dad's. He was out in the yard. Jason jumped on a bike Dad fixed up for the yard sale. We didn't stay long. It was just a pit stop before going to the Car show in Ashland. There was a lot of nice cars there.
My cousin Annette Winston and her husband Donald was there. They were selling T-shirts. They do picture transfers to tshirts of the people at the car show and their cars. Should have snapped your picture cuz and had you on the blog...LOL.

We saw Jason "Tank" Walker there. He was driving his antique truck. He didn't have it in the show. Looking good Tank you could have competed. The car show was at Freedom Homes in Ashland. They were giving free hot dogs, drinks, popcorn and snow cones. We tried it all....LOL. We walked thru the homes. They were modular homes. Some of them were actually huge. If I had land, I would buy one and put it on it. The master bedroom was crazy in one them. They had jacuzzi tubs and one of the bedrooms and a sitting suite in the bedroom with french doors. Don't know why I didn't take pictures of the homes.

Steve wanted to go the Phoenix Garden on Brook Road because they sell funnel cakes. It use to be a strip joint, so he and Jason was trying to see if they could tell where the poles were...don't ask. They are stupid. The place is pretty neat. It is a restaurant/reception hall. The rental is $675 for eight hours but I think you can't bring your own food...I think.
We got home and they ate the funnel cake, but then decided they didn't like it. Steve was a little suspect regarding what oil they cooked it in and they threw a $4.50 funnel cake away. I tasted a corner, it tasted OK to me. Jason and I hung out in the backyard with his sling shot airplanes. We had a contest with whose plane could go the furthest until one went in the tree and then the other on my neighbors garage roof. The wind finally shook one out of the tree eventually and Steve had to get the ladder to get the other one. Jason and decided not to shoot them up in the air this time. Jason then tried doing hand stands which became flips instead. We then just relaxed on the park bench in the backyard for awhile and talked. Steve was in the tool shed piddling around. The weather was so nice under the tree.
We finally went in because Jason was going to a 5th grade party tonight, so I had to press his clothes and run Jason's bath water. He was so excited about this party. His mother and grandmother were nervous. Their little baby is growing up. The party started at 7pm...can you believe that. Eleven year old kids having a party that start at 7 and end at 10pm. Of course, I told Jason we would pick him up at 9pm because he has to usher tomorrow at church.
We left home about 6:50 to take him to the party. The party was in Dunncroft off Hungary Road. We found the house and two of his friends who had been text ed him, was standing in the yard waiting for him. I gave him the same speech I use to give Stevie and Daynon when they were going to some one's house. Steve and I went to Arby's and had dinner and then rode downtown. We went thru Shockoe Slip and took in the sights. When we passed the Science Museum a lot of young people were in tuxedos and gowns so they must have been having a prom there. Shockoe Slip was packed with people. We rode back up Broad Street and stopped at Chik-Fil-A. Steve wanted to get a milk shake. We sat out on the patio there and I ate a ice cream cone. We left about 9:00, so we didn't pick Jason up until about 9:10. We gave him ten extra minutes. He said he had a great time and there was a lot of people. He said he was tired.
Jason immediately got out of his clothes when he got home. He watched TV for a little bit and then went to sleep around 10:45 before I told him it was time to go to bed. I am going in here to work on this hair for tomorrow. So good night to all.
