Another hot one.

Woke up feeling stiff this morning, but I was determined to go to exercise class. If I let my aches and pains keep me at home, I would never go anywhere. My body felt a little better by the time I got to class and once I start exercising, my stiffness smoothed out. Pat and Dee and I had a long talk in the parking lot after class and I realized how hot is was. We parted and I came home to work out in the yard...in the heat. Dumb idea. I got the hedge trimmers and trimmed the box wood bushes at the front door and another bush at the side of the house. I started sweating and feeling very light headed so I went inside to cool off and get some water. Steve was around the back cleaning out the gutters, so he didn't know what was going on. By the time he got around front, I had finished trimming and he helped me clean up the debris. Next time, this will be a after the sun has gone down job. Stevie called while I was trimming. His friend Stewart Smith was moving into a new home off Hungary Springs Road today and he wanted us to stop by. I finished working around the flowers and cleaned out the down spout on the side of the house and then I put the tools up and went in to sit down for a minute. My clothes were soaking wet. I took my shower and got dressed. We were about to leave when we saw someone had pulled up in a van. It was Stevie in Stewart's mother's van. He was heading to Stewart's condo to pick up some furniture. We told him we would catch him later and went to the Post Office. We stopped at Dad's to check on him. We went to the bank and then to Stewart's home. He has a cute home. The previous owner had updated the bathroom and kitchen, and the home practically was move in ready. We sat and talked to Stewart and Steve for awhile, then left them to do their work.

Steve and I went to Henrico Doctors Parham to see my friend Betty, who had surgery yesterday. I stopped in to see a couple of friends who worked their, Chris and Thelma. Thelma went up with us to see Betty. Betty's daughter Lorna, Sister-in-Law Mary Alice and neighbor Barbara Tipton, who went to school with me was in her room. Betty looked good but a little drowsy. We didn't stay long. I told her I was glad her surgery was over with. She put the knee replacement off for a long time.

We left the hospital and came home. We watched TV for a while and napped and then I went out for a pizza at Little Caesar's. Their debit card machine was acting up and they did not take checks, so I had to go to 7-11 to get cash money to pay for the pizza. They gave me some crazy bread free for my inconvenience and then put a sign in the door to let customers know they had to have cash only. Like I need more bread...but any way.

We ate our pizza and then Juiny Boy called saying his Aunt was having a sale selling her son who died belongings. We picked Dad up and went their. He had lived in London Towne. This man was an avid cooker. He had everything under the sun. Pots, pans, Wok, Milk shake maker, rotisserie, exercise equipment, any kind of appliance you used to cook with, he had. Every kind of gadget even down to the nose hair trimmers and hair trimmers that he hadn't even opened. There was so much stuff I couldn't even focus to look at. There was anything I needed, but there was plenty of stuff I wanted but just didn't have the cash. I thought I might see something that I really needed to have and buy it. He had nice furniture also.

We left there and went to Dad's. And then the sky opened up. Thunder, lightning and a lot of rain. We sat and talked without TV until the storm passed. I was not about to go out in all that weather to go to Bible Study. When things seemed to ease up, we left to go home about eight. As soon as we walked in the house and shut the door, the sky opened up once again.

Steve and I watched So You Think you Can Dance. Jason called to tell me they had no lights and they had been out for about two hours. He was pissed that we had lights. He said his Grandparents were asleep on the sofa. I told him to just go to bed. He didn't like that idea but he said he would try it. He said he didn't feel sleepy. He didn't call back, so he must have gone to sleep or the lights came on.

I feel asleep after talking to him and woke up on his bed about eleven. Got me some raisins and a drink of water, writing this blog and now I am going to sleep.

Hey, I just realized I didn't talk to "Daddy Daynon" today. Hope you had a good day Dainty.
