OK. It was dreary and rainy and I couldn't got outside, had no real enthusiasm to do any work around the house, so I played Queen of the Castle this morning and eat, watched TV and checked my email in bed until about 11:30. I watched that Adam Sandler movie, "You don't Mess with the Zohan"...it was silly but I like Adam. Steve got home about 9 and he was watching TV in the the den. Got a phone call from HCA and I have an interview for a job on Tuesday at 9. Pray for me. The more I go on interviews, the more nervous I get. Each time I interview for a job and don't get it, my confidence in myself is knocked down a peg or two. You start feeling like you are past your prime and know one wants you. I remember when I was much younger and when I had to hire people, I thought people my age was old and I felt they would not be able to handle the job. Now the shoe is on the other foot.
Anyway, finally got up and made my bed. I guess the call gave me new found energy. Got dressed and Steve and I did the PO&B thing. We say Dad's truck at Kroger's so we stopped in to see what he was up to. He left there and walked to Wal-Mart and Steve and I went to the new Dollar Tree store that opened up in the shopping center where Food Lion is. It is a nice size store. I love Dollar Tree. We stopped at Uncle Doc's to check out the garden. Corn is coming up right good. Saw some shoots coming up from the watermelon seeds also. Uncle Doc and Aunt Mary were not at home so we went home.
Did nothing when I got home. Watched a crazy movie called "The Cube" which was crazy. I still don't know what was going on in that movie and then I watched this movie called "The Mamba" about a lady locked in a apartment with no windows with a black mamba snake by her husband. It was an old movie, but entertaining.
We ate dinner and went to my sister-n-law Pat's house to walk her dog Joey. Let me tell you something about Joey, he is a hyper dog. When I go over there, he is all over me. If any of you know me, I am not a pet lover and I think he knows I don't like him. Anyway, we go over there, and he is acting like a dog on drugs. Does not bark, acting scared and wouldn't come outside. Steve tried to entice him out with treats but that did not work. He then got the leash and hooked it on him and then he came out. But he was very calm. Now I liked this Joey, I could live with this Joey. Too bad when Pat gets back, the old Joey will too.
I dropped Steve at Dad's and I went to choir rehearsal. We only learned one new song tonight and rehearsed two other songs, but still did not get out until 8:50. We rehearsed a song that Pastor wants us to sing for his 13th Anniversary on Sunday.
When I got to Dad's, he and Steve were playing dominoes. I was there about fifteen minutes and then we headed home. I got on the computer and clipped my coupons on the desk. Watched some of the game, don't want Kobe to win, and then some of the news and David Letterman. I am going to bed now.
