Another Monday!

Mondays sure come around fast. I went to exercise class. It felt pretty nice outside. We had about seventeen in the class today, so it was a full house. I went to Dad's after class because he was going to follow me to Dominion Chevrolet to drop my car off for service. My appointment to leave the car was at 9:30. Traffic in Short Pump that time of morning is nice. We dropped the car off and they said they would call when it was ready. Daddy and I stopped at Uncle Doc's for a short while because Daddy wanted Uncle Doc to stop by later and maybe assist him with fixing the horn in Aunt Margo's car. It stopped working and she has to get it inspected next month.

I dropped Daddy off and then came home. Steve was out in the yard. I have had a chest of drawers here for a while that I have been meaning to refinish so I started with one drawer. I will do one drawer at a time then the chest of drawer shell. I sat out and enjoyed the breeze that was blowing for awhile and then I went in and changed clothes.

Steve and I went to the PO&B and then by Dad's. You know, my Daddy did not graduate from high school, but he has always been the smartest man I know when it come to fixing things. At first he was going to just attach a horn button to Aunt Margo's car but because her motor is in the back, she has a 1984 Pontiac Fiero, he couldn't do that. So he went to the hardware store and made these metal strips by hand like was in her car and had broken. Uncle Doc stopped by and between Daddy, Uncle Doc and Steve they got those plates in the steering wheel and the horn blows like it should. There are times I don't know what I would do without Daddy. The money he has saved me by fixing things most people would just throw away. Some people have book sense, but he has street smarts and common sense. To me, he is like Batman and Superman all rolled up in one, because he always save the day.

Talked to Daynon and Stevie briefly today. Nothing exciting going on with them. Stevie has class tonight.

Well Dominion called and said my car was ready. My water pump had gone bad. I have extended warranty, so they said I would only have to pay the $100.00 deductible. We left Dad's about 4 and picked Jason up at his Grandmother's because he had choir rehearsal tonight. We got the car and Jason and I took Daddy's car and Steve drove our car home. We came home and ate dinner and Jason and I drove Dad's car to church and Steve was coming over Dad's later. Rehearsal only lasts about forty fives and we were out by 7:30. We went to Dad's and was sitting on the patio and Jason was riding his bike and then the thunder came and I went straight in the house. Daddy , Steve and Jason did also. We watched TV until nine and then we had to take Jason to McDonald's because he was hungry again and Daddy gave him five dollars.

We came home. Jason ate, took his bath and went to bed. I watched the Young and The Restless. I am going to take my shower and then I am going to bed. Good night.
