Can you believe it is June already.

Where has the year gone. It is June already. Soon it will be 4th of July and before you know it, the summer will be over. The older you get, the faster time seems to go by. No matter how old we are, we need to appreciate every day. Sometimes just sitting outside on a nice day and appreciating life and all that God has created. You know sometimes I just sit outside and watch the clouds roll thru the sky and watch the birds, it makes you think of the majesty of God's work. I don't understand atheist who believe there is no God. The miracle of life alone is so amazing how a baby grows inside you inside the womb of fluids and get their oxygen thru the umbilical cord for nine months. I can't hold my breath under water for 9 seconds, but God made a way. God is an awesome God.

Let me get off my spiritual soap box. I went to exercise class today. We had a full house today. There was about seventeen people there. After class, I talked with Joe Bracey, he is the Director of the Child Development Center at ST. Peter's. They are thinking about changing a part time position to a full time position for their front desk. He said he would let me know when they start hiring. It sounded like a interesting job, pay is not the greatest, but it would be close to Dad and home. We will see. Dee and I stopped in and talked to Mary Johnson, who is married to my cousin Tyrone. She works at the church. She wanted to take Dee and I to lunch today, so we told her we would meet her back at the church at 11:30. Dee and I went to Uncle Doc and Mary's about 9am. We sat and talked to them and laughed with them and looked at pictures until about 10:00. Dee changed her clothes for lunch and then we left her car there and she home with me. We sat and watched TV and talked with Steve. I started getting ready for lunch around 11 and then Dee and I left about 11:20 to head back to the church.

Mary's co-worker Mary Ann went to lunch with us. Mary drove. It was the first time I rode in her car. She has a Buick, which I think is a Lucerne. That car rides real nice. Not like my Chevrolet. The back seat had a smooth ride. I think my next car will be a Buick. We went to O'Charley's across from VA Center Commons. I got the O'Tenders (chicken tenders). They were very good and lightly breaded. Mary was going to treat us to lunch and when she asked the waitress for the bill, Dee had already paid for it. That Girl...we didn't even see her do it.

We left O'Charley's and went back to the church. Maryann told us about a PO-KE-NO night she has at her house on Friday's and invited Dee and I. She lives in Daddy's neighborhood. I told her I would take her up on it. Dee and I left and stopped in at Dad's. He was outside working on the trim of the Mustang. We sat and talked and then Daynon stopped in. He had been at Henrico County Courthouse on his lunch time and came thru. Steve pulled up right after him. Daddy's neighbor Jeff came over to the fence and started talking to us. Daynon had to get back to work, so he didn't stay long and Jeff went back in the house. Daddy's neighbor that lives behind him came over and borrowed some drill bits. He was trying to hang some shutters. We sat on the patio talking until about 3 so and then I took Dee to her car at Uncle Doc's. Steve stayed helping Daddy with the car.

I came home and checked out jobs online, watched The Young and the Restless on DVR and then fixed dinner. Steve came home around 5:30 and we ate dinner. I cleaned the kitchen up and then took a short nap in between texting Jason back and forth. Talked to Stevie briefly, he was at school. We rode back over Daddy's around 7:15. Dee was still at Uncle Doc's. We sat in the yard until 9. Dee pasted by blowing not too long after we got there. We came home and I played Scrabble on my IPOD. I have four games going with people on Facebook. I have become obsessed with Scrabble. It is after eleven so I am going to bed. Pray for my best friend Betty Reid. She is having knee surgery on Tuesday morning. Pray for a quick recovery for her.

And I thank God, he brought my Aunt Janice and family home safely from Colorado. They went there to her granddaughters graduation.
