Did ya miss me?

Don't know what happened, but I forgot to update my blog last night. So what did I do yesterday? Watched TV and then did the house thing and went outside to work on that drawer I started staining the other day. The stain was a little too dark, so I re sanded it and then stained it again. It is still dark and I am not sanding it again. Daddy came over to help Steve take a motor off one lawn mower and put it on another frame. Steve found a reel mower at the dump Sunday. A reel mower is the old time lawn mowers that have no motor. Stevie just bought one a few weeks ago. If he had only waited he could have gotten one for free. Anyway, Daddy and Steve were adjusting the blades and the three of us took a run up and down the yard with it. That thing really cuts the grass, but I prefer the riding mower...less work....LOL.

Got a box from Germany today. It was Father's Day cards and gifts for Daddy, Steve and Daynon from Marcia.

After Daddy left, I finished up with my drawer. We went in and watched TV for a bit and then Steve went outside to cut grass. I went outside after he finished. He was talking to our neighbors Mike and Judy. We all stood at the fence and talked awhile. Mike built a deck out back and they have solar lights on the rails. They are neat, they are little L shape pieces that attach and they really shine bright and look so pretty at night. They have a orange hue to them. One of my other neighbors that lives two doors from me, Jackie Via, is in the hospital. Her cancer has returned and her son told Steve the other day that it is in her spine. Please keep her in your prayers.

Steve and I came in the house and cleaned up and ate dinner and then we went to the ATM machine and stopped at Dad's to move a table Steve picked up today. John Thaniel was pulling in the yard with Daddy when we got there. They had been to choir rehearsal. We sat outside talking with Dad after John left for about twenty minutes and then came home. Watched TV and went to bed.

Now on to Wednesday...........................I woke up at 5:30 this morning and could not go to sleep. So I watched one movie after another. Around 8:30, I decided to get the statements for Steve's business and work on them while watching TV. I finished them around 10:30 and then just laid in bed and watched Regis and Kelly Show and some of The Price is Right and then I got out the bed about 11:30. I am getting real lazy y'all. Anyway, got cleaned up, dressed and then we went to PO&B. Daddy went to the Laundromat and we saw him when Steve went to the convenience store on Brook and Wilkinson Rd. We went to Wal-Mart to get a Dark and Lovely relaxer. I need to relax my hair one day. Sweet potatoes were on sale, so I bought some to make a sweet potato pie. Daddy bought some the other day and I thought sure he was making pies, but he made yams..boy was I disappointed. So I decided to make my own. We stopped in at Dad's and watched Gunsmoke until about 3:30. Cancelled his cell phone plan because he has another phone now and called Verizon to lock in his bundle price for two years for his land line and cable service while I was there. I told him my visit today saved him $40.00 a month. He liked that.

Went to the post office on Parham Road and bought stamps and mailed the statements out. Stopped and got a pizza and came home and cooked my potatoes. Put the pies in the oven around 6 and they were done and we took one to Dad's around 7:15. He was surprised to see pie. It was rather good. We ate pie and watched Wipe Out. Dad really gets a tickle out that show.

Left about 9 and came home. Worked on my music library and after I update this blog, I am going to bed. Good night....Love you all.
