I love waking to hear the rain outside and know I don't have to get up. I will miss those days when I go back to work. I got up about 6:30 and got a bowl of cereal. Tried a new one this morning. It was the Cinnamon and pecan Special K cereal. I love my cereals. I then caught up on my taped shows. I watched Harper's Island. I knew the step Mom would be the next to go. I think there is only about three more shows. I still have no idea who the killer is. Jason woke up and watched TV while I cooked breakfast. I cooked bacon, pancakes and eggs for Steve and Jason.
I emailed Angela at Henrico Dr's to see if they had made a decision regarding the job I interviewed for last Tuesday and she said she had been off and that a decision would be made this week. Jason's Dad called and wanted him to come spend time with him. We took him to meet his Dad on Broad Street around 1pm and then Steve and I went to take care of some business. We then went to Uncle Doc's to check out the garden. Uncle Doc and Aunt Mary had just gotten home. I changed my shoes and went out and started hoeing up the weeds. Uncle Doc told Steve to use his small tiller to clean the rows up and he did. A lot less work using the tiller over the hoe. My corn is getting soooo tall. I can't wait until I pull my first cob. Watermelons are blooming in the hills of dirt. We sat and talked with them until about 5:30 and then came home and ate dinner. I was hungry. The heat will wear you out. In the shade, it was nice, but in the sun, it was rather warm.
Steve and I ate dinner and watched a little TV and then we went to Dad's. He was sitting on the patio. We sat out there and talked with him until nine and then came home.
p.s. forgot to tell you guys, the pictures of Jason on graduation day were with his teacher Ms. Stoner and yes that is Stephanie from Channel 6 news in green.
