Saturday-Sunday recap

OK, I told y'all how I love Saturday mornings. Can't explain it, but Saturdays are that free day. Even when you don't work, you love Saturdays. Well Steve and I got up before 7am. I made the bed up, we got dressed and we hit the yard sales. We rode around to a few in the neighborhood and then some that were in my Dad's neighborhood. We headed to Mountain Road and started following the Yard Sale signs. We hit pay dirt on Purcell Road. Steve bought a Skil jigsaw that looked brand new for $3.00 and a paint stick where you suction the paint out the can to the stick and paint without a paint pan. Can't wait to try it. Steve also bought and axe, cutters, and three or four other yard tools and a walnut headboard for $17.00. The guy was moving and selling everything in the house and the tool shed.

We left the yard sale and went to Burger King and had breakfast. Headed back home because my choir had to sing at a Ordination service at Louisa High School and the bus was leaving at 12. Went home showered and changed and left for church. They had a charter bus from Spirit Tours for us to ride. Spirit Tours is owned by two of my church members, so if you ever have a transportation need, give them a call. Anthony is a great drive.....check out their website.

We had lunch at the school when we got there and the service started at 3pm. We didn't leave the school until about 6:05 and got back to Mt.Olive at 7:09. Steve was waiting for me when we got there. We went to Stuffy's and got subs. Dad wanted one too. Went to Dad's and ate and then sat out on the patio and talked for a bit. Got home about 9:30. Watched Harper's Island. I had a feeling Jimmy was not on the up and up. Next week is the two hour finale. If you haven't watched the show, you need to catch it On Demand. This was the most intense show I have ever seen on Prime Time TV. Jason texted me about 10pm and told me he had made it to Charlotte,NC. He is staying with his Great Aunt for a couple of weeks. Went to bed.

Sunday
Had to sing at 8 and 11 today. Took Friday home after the 8am service. Stopped at Hardee's to get an egg biscuit. It was the best egg biscuit and was so big. I had not been to Hardee's in a long time. After church, stopped at Wal-Mart to get a few things. Then went to Texas Roadhouse and ordered a slab of ribs and two salads and baked potatoes To Go. Did not feel like cooking today. I certainly enjoyed that meal. Any meal I don't have to cook is delicious to me, well most of the time....LOL. Watched a little TV and then we went over Dad's about 5. Aunt Margo and Becky were there. They stayed around until about 6. We moved to the patio and sit out there until 8. Went home and watched the BET Awards show. This was the best show I have ever seen. The transformed their whole show around Michael Jackson. I was OK until Janet came out there and started crying and I lost it after that. I know that had to be hard for her. Going to bed now....love ya!
