First let me remark on Daynon's comment regarding the BET Awards. BET does not have the money to do slick productions like the networks so we have come to expect that. The show was not clearly organized and they tried to honor Michael Jackson and had to switch gears with there show three days before air. Aside from all of that, I appreciated the show, because people put their egos aside and wanted the night to be all about Michael and not their accomplishments. New Edition was out of tune but hey they came together for Michael. The Ojays were great, the songs honoring Michael were great, execpt NE. Ne-Yo did an excellent job, Tyrese, Johnny Gil and I forgot who the other guy was, did a great job. They even brought Tevin Campbell out of hiding. So regarding your comment, it wasn't the best, but it had it's high points. And Daynon yes you were right, Prince can't touch Michael. I said it so the arguement is over.
If you have a comment on anything you read in my blog, please post one. I would love to hear from you.
OK I cheated y'all. I did not feel like going to exercise today. My bones were aching and I just could not muster the energy to go and exercise. So I stayed in bed until about 9:30. I did my house work duties and decided I was going outside and wash the tool shed down because we plan to paint. My husband has a lot how can I say it, junk around the tool shed we had to move first. Scrap wood, concrete blocks, old lawn mower motors...you name it. I made him make a throw out pile and then we move the other stuff out of the way so we could wash the walls. We scrub it down good and we left everything out from the house since we were going to paint on Tuesday. We did the PO&B run and then stopped at Dad's to see if he wanted to ride to Sears with us. Sears is like Tiffany's to men. The lawn mowers and tools make them drool. But he did not want to go today. So we went without him to get paint. I had already picked out a color previously so I know what I wanted. We came home and chilled and watched TV.
I got a email from a friend I went to school with by the name of Lorraine Ford. She found me on Facebook. Got a email from her and she wanted my phone number so we could catch up. She lives in DC.
Steve and I went out to pick up something to eat. I have gotten in a real slump here lately regarding cooking. Will do better next week. We went to Dad's and did our evening patio chat until 9. Came home. Watched TV. Went to bed.
OK now to Tuesday...Got up about 7am and made my bed, got dressed and I went outside about 8am and started painting the tool shed. Used my paint stick I bought at the yard sale last Saturday. It did a good job. You fill it up and it paints a lot of wall space before you have to fill again. Steve came home and started helping me. Dad came by to check out our work. Thirty minutes after Dad left, the glass man came to replace our windshield. Don't know if I reported this, but a rock must have hit our windshield last Friday, because we had a crack in it on Saturday morning. He took about thirty to forty minutes. I had no deductible to pay.....yoo hoo!
We were told not to drive it for an hour and not to wash it for three days.
We washed up all the painting tools, put everything back in place and realized we need to put a second coat on after the sun went down for awhile. Oh well! I went in and took me a looooooooooong bubble bath and took a short nap. Dad called about 5 and said he had to go to Sears and since we had to get paint, told him we would be over about 6. We went to Sears, Daddy bought a new bathroom mat set and I got another gallon of paint. We went to Dad's and sat on the patio until 9. Came home and watched TV. My friend Lorraine called about 10 and we talked for a good while about kids we went to school with. Lorraine lives in DC now. It was so nice to talk to her. After I talked to Lorraine, I went in the bathroom to put a flat iron to this nappy head so I could wrap it.
Tomorrow is my cousin Sissy and her twin brother Bubba's birthday.....Happy Birthday Cousins.
