Happy Fourth of July weekend

Let's start with Friday. Had a bad night Thursday. My hip started hurting me so bad I could not sleep. I couldn't even turnover in bed. So I went and got in the recliner in the den so I wouldn't wake Steve. I ended up watching TV until three or so and finally went to sleep. Woke up Friday morning feeling a little better. Toke two Aleves in the middle of the night. I debated about going to exercise class and decided to go on. When we got there the janitor had not come to open the church so we came for nothing. I went to Walmart to get some last minute things for the cookout. Went home and boiled eggs to deviled eggs. Went I've Dads when I finished. We washed chairs, pulled all the tables and coolers we were going to use. I was exhausted when we finished. Steve and I came home and showered and took a breather. We went to Hawkes and got some fish. They just opened up at Brook and Parham. Dad, Steve and I sat outside and ate our fish. Dad wanted to go to Ukrops because they were having a big one day sale. They had two liter Pepsi 50 cents a bottle and a few other few things. They were out of a lot of stuff. We left there took daddy home. We went home and I walked straight to the bedroom got I my night gown and got in they bed. I fell asleep after watching a little TV in bed.

Saturday morning.....Jump off day. Got up around 6:30. Got the music together I wanted on my IPOD and I downloaded it. Went in the kitchen and made mac and cheese, cut up onions, and made my hamburger patties. When the mac and cheese was done we went to Dad's and at the tables up and put table cloths on the tables. Cleaned the bathroom and cleaned the kitchen after Daddy finished frying the chicken. Left Dads about two thirty and went home to shower and change and get my stereo. Went back to Dad's about 3:30 and put all the food in the oven to warm up and then cooked the hamburgers and hot dogs and put them in the foiled lined cooler. Guests started arriving around four thirty. We blessed the food around 5:15. We had fried chicken hot dogs hamburgers beefaroni deviled eggs green peas baked beans rice pudding and Uncle Doc bought mac and cheese also and corn pudding. Babysis bought a humongous punch bowl cake Aunt Yvonne and Margo bought lemon chess and coconut pies. Becky bought a coconut cake. Pat bought cut up cantaloupe's and deviled eggs also. I also brought strawberries and garlic dip. Let's just say that we all ate too much. I know I did. I read tr via to everyone about the history of the fourth of July then I tested them. Two people tied with same amount of questions answered correctly so I did a tie breaker. They had to guess a number between one and fifty. Anthony guessed it on the head. I carried by stereo to Dads because it has a IPOD dock so I played music from there. Stevie had his IPHONE so we ended up the night with Michael Jackson from Stevie's Ipod. People started leaving around 8:30 and everyone was gone by 9:30. They all pitched in to clean up outside by moving tables and chairs. I finished cleaning up the kitchen by 10:30. When I got home I felt a greasy piece of fried chicken so I took a shower and then laid in bed while doing my blog on my IPOD. OH YEAH, I forgot to tell y'all that something scary happened to me today. I turned the gas on the grill on so I could melt cheese on burgers if people wanted it. Well I turned the gas on and hit the striker. Nothing happened so I hit it again. Well let's just say it is a good thing my bladder wasn't full because the grill made a loud noise and the aluminum foil jumped up. I jumped back and got my leg twisted in a folded chair and hit the ground hard and fast while holding a long fork. Thank God I didn't hurt myself. I thank God also for a beautiful day. We have been so blessed and have never had rain on our fourth of July cook outs. I am past exhaustion now. I have dropped the IPOD twice already because I have fallen asleep.
