OK..a big day today

Because so much happened today, I thought I should document it while it is all fresh in my mind.
First of all, I woke up at 6. The new mattress is the bomb. Did not have any body aches. I think my old mattress was killing. I stayed in bed watching the news but decided to get up and I made my bed and left for Wal-Mart. With the holiday weekend approaching, I knew they would be crowded and the fact it is the first of the month would make it even worse. The crowd was light. Walked around browsing for a while, then I decided to get what I came for. I had my list of things I needed to get for the cook out. If you know me well, I am a list person. Any event I am involved with, I make a list....Thanksgiving, Christmas, 4Th of July...I make a list and check it twice...hey that way you don't forget anything. I use to have list for my kids when they took trips.

Anyway, I got out of Wal-Mart and then went to Dad's to drop off all the stuff I bought. By that time, Dollar Tree was open and I went there to get some things. I headed home after that. Steve was cutting grass when I got there. I cleaned the house and then rolled my hair and took my shower. Some of my ex-Dometic co-workers met for lunch today. It was Tonia, Harriet, Jackie, Thelma, Betty, Claiborne and myself. We met at Shoney's in Mechanicsville. It was so nice to see them all again. It was funny because we all were so use to having lunches together and had to rush back to work. Thelma is working as a Temp at Dometic and had to go back to work and Tonia works at KD but was off today. We all shared our job searching and unemployment filing stories. Big shout out to Tonia...she said she reads my blog everyday. Tonia please feel to comment on my blog whenever you like.

I left the girls and we said we are going to try to do this again. I went to Dad's. Steve was over there helping Dad with some things. I took a change of clothes so that I could do some work to prepare for the cook out. We washed coolers and I cleaned off the table in the shed and washed the sofa down. Steve and Dad was doing some yard work. We finally all sat down and enjoyed the nice breeze for awhile and then we left for home about 6.

Came home and sat for about thirty minutes. Checked my email. Daynon added me as a friend on Facebook. He is in Hilton Head. His page said he has been sitting on the beach for hours and by the pool. Sounds like the good life to me. We changed up to go to Party City. We were looking for some aluminum pans that Daddy wanted. They didn't have the size he wanted, so we went to Big Lots and then Family Dollar. Found what he wanted at Family Dollar. Steve wanted a roast beef sandwich, so we went to Arby's. I was still full from the lunch buffet, so I only got some waffle fries. We went back to Dad's to show him the pans we got. I think he was satisfied. We sat on the patio talking and checking the list off and then we came home. I am going to hit the computer to check out some job contacts..... so I am out. Good night.
