July 22,2009 Today was a good day

I am no longing celebrating in pity today. Got up and went to exercise class and stopped by Dad's. He was up and waiting or Aunt Margo because they were going to Montpelier to pick Aunt Shelia up and take her to her Dr's appointment. I came home and sat on the patio for a while with Steve. Then we covered the flower beds with landscape plastic. Will probably get new mulch and cover the beds on Friday. Then I went to the tool and put a poly coat on the dresser drawer I had stained. Steve brought home a cute decorative lawn sprinkler that is made of copper and spins when you hook the hose to it. The stake was broken on it so he fixed that. It is so cute. For those of you that don't know, my husband is self employed and has a refuse business (trash business). If you remember the show ROC, Steve is ROC. He is always bringig goodies home. You know what they say, "one man's trash is another man's treasure"....LOL. Any way, after we got that fixed, Steve put it in the flower garden out front. Then I decided to caulk the windows. I bought the caulk weeks ago. OK one tube doesn't go as far as I thought. I had two tubes and I only did the back of the house. Trying to get it ready to be painted. Steve's nephew said he would help us. We cleaned up our mess and then we showered up and went to the Post Office. No checks today, so no bank run. Went to Lowe's to pick up somethings and then came back home. I watched the YOung and the Restless and fell asleep. Woke up and started going thru my recent DVD's I made of home movies and catgorized them on paper so I know exactly what is on each DVD. Went to Little Caesars to get pizza. Watched the news and then dropped Steve at Dad's while I went to Bible Study. For the last few weeks we have been studying the miracles of the Bible. Tonight we study Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead. Lazarus' sister Martha was mad with Jesus cuz he took his own good time to get to Lazarus. In fact, when he heard Lazarus was sick, he stayed in the city where he was two days longer. We learned that Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead versus healing him would be a greater show of power on his part. You know how we are, if Lazarus was sick and got better when Jesus got there, we would have said he probably was getting better anyway. But you can not dispute coming back from the dead. Nobody but Jesus had that power. Anyway, it was a good lesson tonight. Went to Dad's to pick Steve up. We sat and talked on the patio until nine and came home. Watched some TV but got sleepy. Went to bed at 10:30.
No pity party today...thank you Jesus!
