Sunshine Blue Skies

Today was an even better day today. The self pity is gone, for now, and I am back to being me. No richer than I was yesterday, no job and no possibilities in sight, but you know what, I was able to get up out of bed and go to exercise class. Someone could not get up this morning, so right there I have been blessed and have something to thank the Lord for. So I need to stop letting satan make me think the glass is half empty. It is half full and God is about to pour me out a blessing that I do not have room to receive, I just have to wait on him and be encouraged that he will send me what I need. You know what they say "He may not come when you want him but he will be there right on time"....AMEN.

After exercise class, I came home and put the handles back on the chest of drawers that I refinished. I only have three more drawers and the chest itself to do. Steve and I showered and changed clothes and went to the Post Office. We then went and picked Dad up because we were going to my old job, Dometic, to pick up watermelons from an ex-coworker, Jimmy King. Jimmy planted two acres of watermelons this season. Juiny Boy met us there and got some also. Dad bought one for Uncle Doc and Aunt Mary so we took it to them. We sat under the tree and talked for a while. We went out and checked the garden and some of the corn was ready. Uncle Doc said about twenty wild geese were out there today and I could see where they ate some of my corn. I got about eight ears out of the garden. Will cook tomorrow to see how it tastes. Came home and watched TV and went to Ukrop's around 4:30. I was invited to a Po-Kee-No party and everyone was to bring something. I bought Lil' Smokies and put them in a small crock pot with BBQ sauce.

Went to the party about 6. My cousin Tyrone's wife Mary invited me. The party was at her co-workers house, Maryann Coleman, who lives in my Dad's neighborhood. So I dropped Steve off at Dad's before I went. There was twelve of us playing. It was a lot of fun. It was good to get out with some women and meet new people. We played until about 8:10. I won quite a few hands. We are meeting again 8/28. Can't wait.
Went to Dad's sat on the patio until 9 and came home. Steve went over to our neighbor Herb's. He is always peddling out in the garage and I went in and watched TV until 11:10 and then got online to write my blog.
