Heat Wave is coming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK we have been blessed so far this summer, but the heat wave is coming. I prepared for the worst today. They kept saying it was going to be 99 today. Went to Mt.Olive at 8AM. Had to sing today. We had a fire drill today at church. Always when I have to leave church on time or early, they put something extra in the service. I Did not sing at 11 because I went to Bethany , Dad's church today, Bethany is in Montpelier,VA. They had Homecoming today. Went home after the 8am service and picked Steve up. We went to Dad's. Dad wanted to stay for the evening service so we drove too. He followed us up the road. Service started at ll:15 but we got there about 10:40. Church was already packed. Twine, Annette, Sissy, My Aunt Yvonne, Janice and Shelia were there. They are members at Bethany. My Uncle Doc, Aunt Mary and Anthony were also there. They currently do not have a pastor but the guest speaker from Omaha, Nebraska is one of their members. His name was Patrick Jones. He was very good. We ate dinner after service. The food was good as always. Shout out to you Annette and the folks on the Hospitality Committee. You guys always do a great job. Steve, Dad and I ate under the tent out front of the church. There actually was nice breeze blowing at first. Then when the tent started filling up, it got a little warm. They had pictures of ice cold tea (Arnold Palmer style Daynon) on every table so there was plenty to quench your thirst. And the desserts.....you didn't know what to choose from. They always have the plates with a slice of cake and pie on it. I got chocolate pound cake and coconut pie. And they were homemade and delicious. After dinner, we went to say our good byes and get a plate from Aunt Shelia to take to Uncle Hike who did not come to church. We told Daddy by and headed to Aunt Shelia's house which is on Route 33 on our way home back to Richmond. We stopped there and talked with Uncle Hike for a few minutes and then headed home. I immediately got out of my clothes and put on a house coat and got comfortable. Steve got comfortable and hit the sofa in the den and was snoring immediately. I got on the computer to file for my unemployment benefits. I did have six contacts this week. I applied with the State, County of Henrico and four private companies. By the way, Target sent me a sweet rejection letter. Dag that's bad when retail don't want you. I thought they hire any and everybody. Oh well.

Dad got home about five. We went over there about six thirty. Aunt Margo and her friend Becky were there. We sat and talked until nine and we came home. Watched the new show "There Goes The Neighborhood". This is like Big Brother but you are stuck behind a wall with your neighbors. At least on Big Brother every one goes their separate ways after the show, but after this show, you still live on the same street with these people. It got a little tense last night. People start taking things personal and forget it is only a game. We will see how this all ends. This is a social experiment that might back fire....we will see. Read the Sunday paper and checked out the classifieds. Saw a couple of jobs I will apply for tomorrow. Going to bed now. Buenos Noche' (good night)
