My first day on the job

My first day on the job was good. I got there about 7:45. It took me less time to get to work than I thought. Had Orientation when I got there. I was the only one in the class. Had to watch three videos. Was about to go to sleep. I don't do well in meetings where I have to sit still and listen. I get very sleepy....LOL. Unless the subject is very interesting. Then I filled out more papers than when I bought my house. Finally, Bea the HR lady took me on a tour and showed me the cafeteria and then to the building I was woould be working at. They keep the building locked and everyone has a key to get in, so someone was waiting at the door to let us in. I went in and waited in the supervisors office and then he came and introduced me to everyone. I was put in the hands of Cindy who showed me the breakroom and the bathroom. Clean my desk off because it was dusty. Then Rich gave me a report with corrections that had to be entered in the system and they all left me to do it. I did the report, wrong the first time but went back and corrected it...oops. Then I was instructed to open mail of a lady named Courtney who was on vacation... a bunch of invoices. Then I had to do the mail of a person who no longer works there and we distributed those things. Went to lunch..which you have to clock out on your computer. I have not had to punch a time clock in YEARS! Anyway, came back finished the mail and then did some filing. Before I knew it, it was time to go home.

Yesterday was Stevie's birthday and today is Lynette's, so I had them over for dinner yesterday. We rotate each year whose day we celebrate on and this year it was Stevie's day. I cooked burgers and hot dogs on the grill. Had string beans, corn on the cob and Daddy did chicken wingettes. Stevie and Daynon's friend Tank stopped by, couldn't get him to eat. Stevie's friend Stewart stopped by and ate with us. We sang happy birthday about eight and ate ice cream and cake. They all left and I cleaned the kitchen up and finally sat down about 9:45. Watched the Young and the Restless and then went to bed. Hope I stay awake at work today...LOL.
