Trying to keep the blog going with a slow computer

Since I have been working, I made a resolution with myself to give myself plenty of time in the mornings to get to work and so far I have done that until this morning. I fooled around in the house and left later than usual and when I clocked in today, it was 7:59:58. I made it just in time with my heart racing. I have been getting to work 7:45 or so. That won’t happen again. I have two flights of stairs to get to my department. I thought I was going to have a heart attack because of all that rushing and step climbing. Anyway, the day went by fast. Had a lot of catch up work to do. Got sleepy around three because I had stayed up to watch David Letterman last night. President O is a cool cat no matter what anyone thinks of him, they can not deny that.

Sat out in the car and ate lunch and listened to the radio. Took a walk around the block. Need to do that every day. Stopped at Ukrop’s after work and got the Tuesday special. Eight pieces of chicken and a liter drink for $6.99. Had green peas and baked potatoes to go with it at home.

After dinner, we stopped at Dad’s. He was about to leave for choir rehearsal. He was waiting for his ride John Thaniel. We left there and went to the ATM and then came home and sat out on the patio. Steve took me to the tool shed and showed me a train set he bought home. I am going to have to find a place to put it during the Christmas holiday.

Came in the house to make a cake to take to Lynette tomorrow. She is getting to the stage of her pregnancy where she is obviously miserable. Five more weeks or so and Kennedy will be here……can’t wait to hold her. I figured she deserves a treat. Comfort foods do wonders. …LOL. Watching Dancing with The Stars while I am writing this.

Oh yeah, yesterday, went and had lunch with Daynon at Extreme Pizza. He told me about an accident that happened right in front of him. The car went airborne and according to Daynon, went over his car. He said his car shook went the car flipped. It is only by the Grace of God, he did not get hit. God is good all the time…and all the time God is good. I try to faithfully pray every night and ask God to protect my family because satan is busy. I thank God for taking me safely to work and back each and every day. People are on the highway and have their minds on everything but the highway. When we were young, we were taught in Driver’s Ed to be defensive drivers and it is even truer now. Thank you Lord….thank you Lord….thank you Lord for protecting Daynon. If I had ten thousand tongues I could not say thank you enough. I had no job for ten and a half months, no insurance and God brought me thru, kept Steve and I well, he was our insurance. So I say thank you.
