You never know how your day will end.

Ok..it is Monday, so that means exercise class. I picked up Pat and we went to exercise today. The decals run out on license on tomorrow and I forgot to do it on line. Of course, I found out too late that I still could have done it and printed a temporary registration card. In case you did not know, they charge you $5.00 extra if you come in to renew your registration now. So after, I carried Pat home, I went to the DMV. I packed a snack and a bottle of water. But to my surprise, there was hardly anyone there, I guess that $5.00 extra kept a lot of people away. I was in and out in about fifteen minutes.

When I got home, I got on the computer checking out jobs for the DMV. There was none. Applied for two State jobs and a job with Henrico. I soon got tired of the computer and decided to run the vacuum and straighten up a little before time to pick Jason up from school. Daynon called right before I was about to go out the door. He wanted me to email him my resume' so Lynette could turn it in at Estes.

We went to the Post Office and then the bank and then went to pick Jason up. His grandmother wanted me to take him to the mall and find a suit that would fit him, so I made a peanut and jelly sandwich for him, because he enjoyed it so much yesterday and brought him a bottle of water. Well, we picked him up from school and he was excited about the sandwich and pretty much swallowed it whole. I called Daddy to see if he wanted to ride with us to the mall and he was already there at Sears which is where we were heading. He waited outside at the truck for us. Daddy, Jason and I went in looking at suits and Steve took our car to the service center because when I went there last week to get the tires rotated, they put the front tires back on the front and back tires back on the back of the car. Steve said when I got home that it was no way they had rotated them. Anyway, back to me and Jason and Daddy, Jason went in the dressing room and tried on the suit. He was acting like he was a male model modeling the suit for us and acting crazy. Well he went in to change his clothes and when he came out, his eyes were watery, his nose was stuffed up, he had red bumps all over his face and body and said his throat was itchy. It was that dag gone peanut butter and jelly sandwich. He is still allergic to peanut butter. I don't know why it didn't bother him yesterday. I panicked, I gave the suit to the sales associate and told her to hold it and Daddy took Jason outside because he said he was hot. When I got to Daddy's truck, he was red as fire, including his eyes. I told Daddy to take us to Walgreen's immediately to get Benadryl. I took Jason in the store with me and we went straight to the Benadryl and I opened the bottle and gave it to him right then and there. I have never seen someone go from fine to miserable in so short of time. He literally could not breathe thru his nose. Mucous just became very concentrated in his nose. Daddy went and paid for the medicine and Jason and I went to the truck. Daddy brought some of the tissues with Vicks in it for Jason. I mean his nose got clogged out of no where. I called Steve and told him I was going to get Daddy to take us home so I could get him in a cool bath because he was itching all over. Poor thing the rash was all over, including his behind. After he sat in the cool water for a while, he got dressed and then he got in the bed. The Benadryl was kicking his butt. We all rubbed his arms and legs for him so he would not scratch so much. He finally went to sleep after Daddy left. I kept checking on him and eventually his skin returned to normal...THANK GOD. His Grandmother came by after she picked the suit and brought it here and checked on Jason. We sat and talked for about an hour or so and then she left and I started to fix Steve's plate for dinner and Jason woke up. He looked like the Jason I picked up from school except for being groggy. He said he felt a lot better and he is not scratching now. I praise God for his recovery. I don't know what I would have done if something happened to him, I would never have forgiven myself for giving him that peanut butter. I told him never again. I don't care how old he is I will never give him peanut butter ever!

After dinner, Jason started on his homework. Poor thing, he is still a little groggy from the medicine. He finished his homework just in time to see Heroes. We watched it together and then he went to bed. His nose was a little stuffy still but still not as bad. He went on to sleep and so did I. You just never know how your day will end. Thank God it ended well. I am so sorry I gave him peanut butter. I told him he will only get ice water here from now on...LOL.
