The day started out warm. I went to exercise class. Our normal instructor was not there and we had another person to instruct us, not the same one from Wednesday. She exercised us even harder but it was good. I went home after class and did some house cleaning. The company I interviewed with on Thurday called me for references they forgot to ask for. I emailed them but had not heard anymore.
Steve and I left for the Post Office around 1pm and then to the bank and Wal-Mart. We went to Dad's because I told him I was going to detail his Mustang so we could take it to Chik-Fil-A where all the antique cars meet on Friday nights. I washed it, cleaned the interior and shined the tires. The picture is an older picture of the car. We left Dad's around 3:15 and I went home and sat outside and enjoyed the nice day. Steve had sanded the hood of his truck, the one that use to be his brother Sonny that died last year, and then he sprayed primer on it.
We took our showers and changed clothes. We told Daddy that we would be back over his house around 6:45. It started to shower a little, so we afraid the cars would not be up there, but they were. It wasn't as many as usual. They meet there every Friday night when it is warm at the Chik-Fil-A across form Virginia Center Commons. There was some old trucks and a few mustangs. One of them was a Shelby Mustang. The man restored it himself from the ground up. He had it since 1984. That car is worth probably $100,000.00. He said it was worth more than his house. Then we met a 81 year old couple. He built old trucks. They loved to talk. We couldn't get away from them...LOL. They were nice people. They say they come every week. It is interesting to talk to the different people and hear the stories about their cars and how they got into it. Some guy runs this event and he plays old school music and they give a coupon for a free chicken sandwich. Ok now you know the real reason I washed the car and took it there....the free food. It was the first time all of us rode in the Mustang together. I drove, Steve rode shot gun and Daddy rode in the back. You know what, I do not miss riding in two door cars...LOL. I told Daddy he was trapped in the back until I would let him out. And another thing, Daddy got those loud pipes on that car and boy with the windows down, you can hardly hear your self think...LOL. But we had a nice time up there.
We got back to Dad's about 8:15 and watched America's Funniest Videos. They were having their Grand Prize show and it stayed on until 10pm. We left after that, if anyone watched, I think the little boy who could quote the Presidents should have won. Anyway, we came home and I listened to music on the IPOD while Steve was watching TV and I fell asleep. Woke up around 11 or so and went to bed.
