Summer is almost over.

Well if you are like me, you have sweated a lot this summer. This has been one hot summer. Because of that, summer seems to have gone by fast because you just didn't want to go outside and do the usual things you do in the summer. I love the summer flowers but a lot of people either didn't plant because of the heat or what they planted just could not withstand the heat. But despite the heat we have had, God graced us with a nice week last week and a beautiful holiday weekend.

Last week my Supervisor was on vacation in Texas at a family wedding so after four I was "Home Alone" in my department. But thank God nothing went down that I could not handle. The week went by very fast even though Friday seemed like the longest. Jason got back safely from Germany on Wednesday. YEAH! Praise God. You can not take anything for granted and should praise God for EVERY victory. So I am glad he granted Jason traveling mercy. I have not seen him yet because he went to his Dad's on Thursday morning and is going back to his Grandma's today. He said he is coming to see us next weekend. Such a socialite...LOL.

I went to choir rehearsal on Thursday. Dropped Steve off at Dad's. Rev.Lee has already told us that we have enjoyed our break of rehearsals during the Summer but he is going to work us now. He has given us new seating arrangements and put the shorter folks on the front and the taller ones on the back row. For some reason no one wants to sit on the front row. Don't know why.

Friday night we hung out at Dad's. Sat out on the patio and enjoyed the lovely night air.

Saturday, Steve and I went riding out to yard sales. Didn't buy anything. Went to Chik-Fil-A and ate breakfast. Had two coupons for free chicken biscuits. First time I had their breakfast biscuits. They were good and filling. I love Chik-Fil-A.
Went to Krogers and bought sodas to carry to a cookout. Went to Lowe's and bought some Mums. Planted the mums, cleaned the house and then took a shower. Picked Daddy and Babysis up and we went to my daughter in law Linda Parent's house. Daynon, Lynette and Kennedy were there also. The food was delicious. They had steaks, hot dogs, hamburgers, crab legs, and lot of side dishes and desserts. The Coles are such gracious host. We had a nice time and the weather..OMG....beautiful.
Took Babysis home and Dad and then went home.

My cousin Sharon, Aunt Margo's daughter, came in from California. Her dad, Tommy,
is in the hospital and not doing good. Please keep him in your prayer because prayer changes things.

Sunday, went to the 8am service at church. Went to WalMart. Bought a few groceries.
Came home and made Mac and Cheese to take to the cookout we were going to. Picked Dad up around three. Stopped at Stevie's new TMobile store on the way. (Oh yeah, if you want to change your service, hit me up and I will hook you up with Stevie) Went to my sister in law Barbara's house and the nieces and nephews were there. Stevie came after work and Lynette, Daynon and Kennedy came. Once again, a lovely day. Stayed until about 7:30 and then came to Dad's and sat out on the patio until nine.

Got up early this morning. Couldn't go back to sleep after Steve left. Bout to clean out the refrigerator. Hate cleaning the leftovers in the fridge....Yuck! I usually convince Steve to do it. Will straighten up around here and then go outside and find a project to work on. Might throw some hot dogs on the grill and call it a day.

Hope you had a blessed Holiday! Stay prayed up because the devil is busy!

Love you and there is nothing you can do about it.
